ASUHAN KEPERAWATAN PADA PASIEN ASMA DENGAN PENERAPAN PERNAPASAN RESPIRATORY MUSCLE STRETCHING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN STATUS RESPIRASI DI RUANG IGD RSUD TARAKAN

Abstract

Asthma is a world health problem that is affected in developed countries and developing countries. Asthma is a form of lung disease where inflammation occurs in the airways, resulting in hyperresponsive to the airways with various kinds of stimuli that cause narrowing of the airways, causing reversible shortness of breath. This case study aims to nursing care in asthma patients by applying respiratory muscle stretching to improve respiratory status. The research method used is a case study with a nursing care approach. With the characteristics of asthma patients, the average age is 51-60 years and has a history of asthma. After being given education about the application of respiratory muscle stretching techniques, the expected results from the case study can be applied daily at home to improve respiratory status. The conclusion from the results obtained related to the fulfillment of nursing care in asthma patients can be proven by the patient's ability to receive information about nursing care that can be carried out at home. Suggestions for patients and families can take advantage of applications related to family nursing care education patterns for asthma patients at home, such as teaching respiratory muscle stretching techniques when patients complain of shortness of breath to improve respiratory status.
