ANALISIS FAKTOR DETERMINAN YANG MEMPENGARUHI PERILAKU PENGELOLAAN LIMBAH MEDIS PADAT PASIEN ISOMAN COVID-19

Abstract

Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) caused by pathogenic microorganisms that can only replicate in living cells is called Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2). COVID-19 is a new variant of the coronavirus that can cause respiratory illnesses ranging from the common cold to more severe diseases such as pneumonia and ultimately death. This study aimed to determine the factors that influence the behavior of solid medical waste management in COVID-19 patients in the Petojo Selatan Sub-District in 2022 based on knowledge, attitudes, age, and education. This research was conducted in Petojo Selatan Village in February- April 2022. The type of research is descriptive-analytic. This study uses a cross-sectional approach design. The population of this study is people in the Petojo Selatan sub-district who have been confirmed positive for COVID-19 and are self- quarantine. The total population is 50 people. The sampling technique used was total sampling. The primary data in this study were distributed through questionnaires via Google Forms. Secondary data was obtained data from the PCR swab examination. The data analysis used was univariate data analysis and bivariate data analysis. The results were analyzed using univariate analysis to see the frequency distribution of the dependent and independent variable. Bivariate analysis in this study used the Chi-Square test. The research result suggested that there is no correlation between knowledge of p-value 0.881, attitude p value 0.000, age p value 0.002, education p value 0.002 with medical waste management behavior in COVID-19 patients. It is hoped that the results of this study can be a reference and input for local health workers to carry out counseling and training on solid medical waste management in the community.
